The experience
The cacao ceremony is an ancestral ritual used for spiritual connection and opening the heart. At Andean Wings Valley we combine this practice with elements of Andean wisdom and shamanic sound healing, creating a unique, integrative experience that supports emotional healing and strengthens the bonds with yourself and others. The ceremony begins with a cleansing and smudging ritual, accompanied by the prayer to Mamá Coca and the knowledge of the Andean Cosmovision. Next, medicine songs prepare the space for the Cacao Ceremony, where pure ceremonial cacao deepens the spiritual connection. The experience includes a guided sound-healing meditation with sacred instruments and closes with a sharing circle where participants reflect and express what they experienced. The ceremony may include a fire ritual, a tradition from the Maya culture of Guatemala, to intensify spiritual connection and personal transformation.
Includes:
- Guidance and facilitation by a certified shaman or facilitator.
- Use of our maloca for the ceremony.
- Cleansing and smudging ritual.
- Cacao ceremony with pure ceremonial cacao.
- Sacred songs and guided sound-healing meditation.
- Drink break: a selection of Andean herbal mates and flower infusions, available after the session.
- Option to book an extra brunch or snacks table to enjoy before or after the ceremony, at additional cost and with advance booking.
